I made the below sketch this past weekend for an art studio prompt. It's nothing great (considering I finished it as quickly as possible, I had other things to do). It was supposed to follow a Halloween theme, a girl in the art studio though told me she thought of anorexia when she looked at it. What do you see?
Lately though, I've been doing a lot of tile painting and book making.
What are you doing for Halloween?
I am probably just going to stay home on Halloween night and give out candy. On the 30th though, I am working at Zuma for their Halloween bash. I'm going to dress up as a pirate. I can't wait to see all the kids and get some good pictures.

I'm going to nashville for halloween to visit my friend betsy. :)
those tiles are really pretty. :)
also I could see how the first image could be related to anorexia.
I might go downtown to a Halloween festival. Should be pretty fun.
The first sketch ..I see like a Horror Story unfolding!
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas - Will you be passing through Knoxville on your way to Nashville? Or are you coming from the west?
@Manstration - Costume or no costume? ;)
@rickystar1 - Thanks! :)
I definitely see a Halloween theme in the first sketch. Could even make an interesting story from it.
No idea what I'm going to do for Halloween yet. There are a few events on in town that I'm considering or I might just stay home to hand out candy.
I dig those tiles. Book making?
It is my dad's birthday on the 31st.
I'm going to the mall in the early evening to watch all the little kids dressed up in their costumes going store to store getting their candy. They are always so cute to watch.
Judith and I are working on the street downtown. We have a booth set up and we're giving out candy with a bunch of people from her church. I can't wait!
I dig the tiles :D . Have a super Halloween!
I like the first tile, it's pretty. interesting how you use green for the skeleton...makes it more scary looking. I am volunteering at a museum doing arts and crafts with children. I'll post pics of the event...the kids are so cute
Come to my Halloween Xanga TV party!
eh, it was worth a try, ha.
i bet that skeleton was freaked out when he saw that lady in the mirrior! very cool work!

i will do nothing special for this holiday. maybe watch some scary film. yes, it is boring maybe but i do not liek this holiday much.
Very pretty tiles! We're going up to PA to visit my fiance's family and some friends.
It's really well done.
I can see how it could be taken as an eating disorder picture. Though the halloween thing makes sense too. ♥
Yeah, the anorexia idea is there, she's skin and bones, but still sees herself as fat. Bookmaking, huh? Have you taken to betting on the horses?
@Daithi - Thanks, I would personally be honored if you wrote a story around the theme of my art. I'd love to feature it!
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas - Very cool! Nashville is such a fun town. It's my favorite place in all of Tennessee. I love everything it has to offer. I live about about three hours east of Nashville.
@tjordanm - You can see pictures of a book I made for Beth (seedsower) here: http://seedsower.xanga.com/712962521/september-road-trip-some-wonderful-xangans-in-real-life/
@GreekPhysique - Shameless plug alert! ;)
@wwwolfy - Any particular reason why you don't like Halloween? I'm always curious on things like this.
@TheCheshireGrins - East or West PA? :)
@CrazyKey123 - holy hell! Awesome book!
Ps I totally clicked on the link to the book you made and I have to say excited
i'm taking Ben out for Halloween. he's a Jedi this year. go figure. i like the tiles and i love the fonts you used on Cooper's tile.
Omg, I adore ladybugs~!! That is so so so cute~!! I'm sure this Cooper will really like it. For Halloween, I'm going to a campus party. I'm not sure what I'll dress as though yet, it should be fun~!!
